KSE Backgammon
Although you might consider
Backgammon a "no-frills" game, KSE has gone through a considerable amount
of trouble to add frills to their version. The main screen, shown in the
picture below, is customizable by changing the color of the board,
background, dice and playing pieces. In addition, a "Suggest move" button
offers a nice animated account of the wisest move for you to make.

As you might expect, plays
are made by dragging pieces from one slot to the next. KSE Backgammon even
recognizes when you want to move the same piece twice and you can simply
"jump" the piece to it's final position. All said, KSE Backgammon is a good
translation of a board game that requires multiplayer excitement. And
thankfully, they've included multiplayer mode - two players on one device
or via Infrared.
MULTIPLAYER MODE - A GODSEND TO THE GAME
Although you can opt to play
a two player game on one device, it just isn't as fun. With Infrared, you
can look at the board and strategize while your opponent makes moves on
their own Pocket PC. KSE has done a wonderful job of establishing a
multiplayer game at a respectable price.

Lowest cost IR game (ok, by only a nickle) in our review. Great game setup and interface. Nice
in-game animation feature. |
Cons:
Mediocre graphics and sound. |
