MobileChess 2.0
Chess signifies a
certain level of intellectual auspiciousness. For example, the game has been
enjoyed by Bond villains and countless other fictitious
scoundrels throughout the ages. But whether your intentions are good or
evil, you can now enjoy matching wits with your enemies wirelessly on your
Pocket PC.
MobileChess 2.0 takes the
standard handheld chess game 10 times further. As you probably expect, the
software fully supports single-player games against the computer with seven
different degrees of difficulty. Moves are achieved by dragging a piece to
the place you wish to move it to. All the moves in every game you play are
saved to the Pocket PC and MobileChess 2.0 even supports the Portable Game
Notation (PGN) format so you can input games from other programs or the
Internet. A few famous games are even included with the software.

|
MobileChess 2.0 offers the most vivid and
attractive chess graphics we have ever seen. |
But when you really need a
challenge, you can go online and play against other human players from
around the world. MobileChess supports FICS (Free Internet Chess Server),
which means you can challenge any player using a chess game with FICS
(Palm, PC, Mac, and even Unix versions are available!). MobileChess 2.0
also includes in-game chat, so that you can chastise your opponents, or
compliment them on an excellent move. FICS requires you to sign-up for a
free account, and their is no charge to use the service.
