Why "Semper Aptus?"
by

"Chances are, you have a
higher than average income and a higher than average education.
Good for you."
|
The first question I get from everyone is
"What the hell does that mean?" Semper Aptus is Latin for "always
connected". And, as I've been informed by language experts, it's a
loose translation at best, that would have only used in poetry or by
poorly spoken schoolchildren.
As such, that is the perfect foundation
for our project. SemperAptus.com is designed to be the first online
resource for people that crave information. If you check your E-mail
more often than you call your family, surf the web more often than you
play with your pets and carry a PDA around like it's your only
connection to the rest of the world, you've come to the right place.
We're going to give you the inside scoop on the newest, the coolest
and the most useful electronic tethers for keeping yourself always
connected.
The follow-up question I receive is "Who's
your target market?" Frankly, we don't discriminate. Businessperson,
student or techo-junkie; you're all welcome. We don't have a target
age group or any other demographic data. Chances are, you have a
higher than average income and a higher than average education. Good
for you. We'll try to cater to your superior intellect while still
providing entertaining and informative reviews of products that you
can spend your extra income on.
More importantly, we'll try and lighten up
on the editorial blabbering most magazines and online resources can't
resist. We've carefully selected a number of noted authors who review
products, not just reprint marketing information. So, if you've read
this far, you're spending too much time on a fluff piece and need to
move on to something more meaty. We welcome your comments and hope you
enjoy our first "issue" launch.
