I am a PDA enthusiast that has stumbled
across your web site and became extremely excited. Your reviews are thorough
(especially compared to C|NET) and very cleverly written. Your news
(spy photos) are very refreshing compared to the rehashed press photos
of boring accessories, and I love the feel of the website.
Would you consider freelance articles
from an ex-English professor?

Wow Martin you're making us
blush,
You don't even have to be a certified
wordsmith to work for us. We accept unsolicited submissions sent to our
Editor-in-Chief (danh@semperaptus.com).
Although SemperAptus.com can not pay for articles, you will have the
satisfaction of knowing that your submission was reviewed by the entire
(very nit-picky) staff and we'll give you a firm handshake and a hard
pat on the back for joining our team.

You have a well designed web site --
fast graphics and easy to navigate. Keep up the good work!
Thanks Susan!
We appreciate the fact that you
recognize a good thing when you see it! (And you don't mince
words!)

Hello,
Thought your articles worth reading, but wish I had not stumbled across
the FAQ.
I appreciate the idea of a fresh approach, but do you have to make worn out
and old (like Dan Rather) sexual commentaries? I would like to re-visit
your site for the info you provide but am definately (SIC) turned off by the
negative feel to your comments. Too bad. Makes it hard to think of
you guys as the professionals that you say you take pride in being. I
don't understand why you would want to alienate visitors.
Kathy
Hi Kathy,
Thank
you for your e-mail and for voicing your concern regarding the sexual
over-tones on our web site. We appreciate your position as well as you right
to visit the sites that you feel have the best content paired with the
standards the match your beliefs and values.
Like movies that are geared toward a target
market, we have designed SemperAptus.com to be geared toward a specific
market: ourselves. Since our writers are not paid and are not given a
deadline, we simply allow them to write on a level which they enjoy - and
which they would enjoy reading themselves. While this may offend users like
you, I assure you this is not our intent. In fact, finding and being
offended by our FAQ is probably the best thing that could have happened...
If you had read one of our latest articles:
http://www.semperaptus.com/reviews/r62100.shtml
You found have found that the female author makes
reference to having her pager on "pleasure mode." While we find
this reference knee-slappingly funny, many other readers may not.
Regardless, the comment matched our editorial voice, and was therefore
included in the review. But you finding our FAQ and being offended by it
protected you from ever seeing this potentially more offensive comment.
At any rate, I
appreciate you taking the time to voice your concerns. My apologies,
and I hope you have a wonderful (and Dan Rather free!) surfing experience!
:)
